Not on viewTall jars with stamped geometrical decorations continued to be produced for a long time to meet the large market demand in the south. Tall jars of the Zhou through Han periods have been recovered mostly from Jiangsu, with fewer examples recovered from Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Fujian. Although they share some stylistic features, distinct regional characteristics may also be noted. One relatively uncommon type of jar from Jiangsu and Zhejiang is typologically related to this piece (KG 1973.1: 16-24; KG 1989.9: 799-803; WW 1985.8: 66-70).
