More Information
A ruler wearing rose-colored garments is depicted at upper right conferring with courtiers, and in another scene this ruler is riding off on an elephant, followed by his army. Figures at the lower right appear to be breaking camp. The howdah shown here is like a canopied pavilion. Seated behind the ruler is an attendant holding an honorific peacock-feather whisk.
