Yuan JiangChinese, 1698 - 1735

A native of Yangzhou in Jiangsu province, Yuan Jiang served as a painter in the Kangzi court and at Yangxin Hall of the Qing court during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Yuan is said in literary sources to have followed the styles of Song masters in landscape painting. Later in his career he practiced architectural painting.
