On View
Not on viewA young woman is seated in a relaxed pose on a blue and white cushion. She wears a pink and red undergarment decorated with a whirling water pattern. The back collar is lowered to expose the sensuous nape of her neck. The round fan in her right hand is decorated with a drawing of Mount Fuji. The looped texture on the background is created by a baren, a flat disk-shaped tool pressed against the back of the paper to hand burnish relief prints.
