Not on viewThe Qing texts provide the information that dongqing glazed wares were made in large or small sizes, of good or bad quality, at both imperial and private kilns in Jingdezhen. The best products were said to be imitations of old celadon made by the imperial shop. This piece, which has no reign mark, was a product of a private shop. Its incised lotus scrolls all over the body were scrupulously executed. The ridged neck and foot are typical features fashioned during the Kangxi.
