Not on viewInscribedOn bottom of the base: "Work of Muhammad AH 1269(?)/ 1852-1853" or "Work of Muhammad AH 1266(?)/1849-1850 CE". (The first numeral '6' is written in the Arabic/Urdu style and the last numeral '6' (?) in the Persian style. This last digit may also be a sloppily written '9', hence the two different readings of the date. If the date does happen to be AH 1269, the treatment of the '6' may suggest a connection with India. If the date happens to be AH 1266, it would be odd that numerals from different language systems are juxtaposed. Additional research is needed to clarify this. Q. Adamjee, July 16, 2009)
