A native of San Francisco and a graduate of San Francisco Art Institute (1959), Win Ng is a ceramicist and artisan. He was among a group of artists responsible for establishing a new tradition of American ceramics after World War II. He also co-founded the art ware retailer Taylor & Ng, which sought to bring a fine art aesthetic to mass marketing beginning in the 1950s.
