Gui Changshi

Gui Changshi, a native of Jiangsu province, is reputed to have been able to compose poetry by the age of ten. As a young boy he decided to concentrate on studying classics and not to work on passing the civil service examination. Gui excelled at seal carving, poetry, calligraphy, and painting.
