Wu Xiqi

Wu Xiqi: style name: Shengzheng; sobriquet: Guren. A native of Qiantang (Hangzhou) Wu obtained the jinshi, a high degree in the civil service examinations in 1775. For his long-time dedication and competence, Wu was honored with an award of wine by the Directorate of Education in 1801. He pursued calligraphy and mastered the running and standard scripts.
