More Information
A musozutsu is a type of pipe case with two cylindrical parts, one of which fits perfectly into the other. While such cases were made from a variety of materials, this case was fashioned from finely plaited rattan. Musozutsu pipe cases would have been attached to a tobacco pouch and suspended from a sash.
