More Information
Referring to gomusin shoes popularized in Korea following the Japanese colonial period, the two pairs of shoes—black for men and white for women—are made of hanji with holes poked into the papers. By placing the two shoes next to each other facing in opposite directions, Kim questions the dichotomy of male and female.
