Ceramic artist Tsujimura Shiro of Nara is a well-known producer of tea wares. This irregularly formed vase, reminiscent of Iga vases from the 1600s and 1700s, is made from granular clay found in Mie prefecture. It is coated with greenish natural ash glaze.
