This clamshell-type lunch box has metal hinges, handle, and clasp. The sides of the box are woven in a fine mat plait using extremely narrow bamboo strips. The corners of the box have leather patches attached. The edges of the box are banded with wide strips of bamboo and stitched with rattan. The interior of the box, which has a wider twill weave, is lined with brown cotton cloth patterned with green circles.
