More Information
Yudhisthira asks his nephew Abhimanyu to break into the formation, creating a passage for the rest of the Pandavas. Abhimanyu succeeds but is quickly surrounded by enemies. In this painting he and Duhshasana, one of the Kaurava brothers, attack each other in their chariots. At the far right, additional Kaurava forces led by King Jayadratha are shown preventing the Pandavas from coming to Abhimanyu's aid.
