On View
Not on viewThe buncheong wares of the Joseon dynasty (1392 - 1910) have inspired many contemporary Korean potters as can be seen in their choice of clay as well as in their use of white slip. Min's dialogue with the buncheong tradition is evident in this large and imposing form covered with white slip. With his own touch seen in his abstract floral designs carved and incised through white slip Min bridges the buncheong tradition and his contemporary orientation.
