More Information
Pine and plum are united in this fan painting by Ming artist Zhang Cunren, to express his perception of the harmony of their characteristics. The pink plum flowers on sharp, straight stems and the winding green pine trunks contrast strongly in color and form, intensifying the sense of nature’s fecundity.
